All about Microneedling, A Truly Transformative Skin Treatment

With advances in aesthetic technology and treatments, there are many skin care treatments available for correcting skin concerns. However, Microneedling has become a popular choice because it uses your skin’s natural healing and rejuvenation process to address various skin concerns immensely with very little downtime.

It may sound like an intimidating procedure at first, but I assure you it is minimally invasive and pain free. The treatment relieves many common skin issues and concerns. The treatment is extremely safe and the benefits exceed treatments like lasers and chemical peels. If you want refreshed and youthful skin but do not want to deal with the risk of an invasive treatment,  Microneedling is the solution for you!

What is it?

Microneedling (Collagen Induction Therapy), utilizes micro surgical titanium steel needles to penetrate the skin creating micro openings in the top layer of the skin, thus stimulating the lower layers to produce more collagen and elastin without major damage or pain. Just as you have to stress muscle fibers to build more muscle, this stress on the lower layers of skin will stimulate the body to self-repair with more structural support!

The micro-trauma to the skin created by the needle tips activates blood to the treated site (erythema/redness & in some cases pinpoint bleeding) which release natural growth factors and in return creates the cellular matrix. Synthesis of new collagen, elastin, Glycosaminoglycans & Mucopolysaccharides and Angiogenesis (forming of new blood vessels) will take place. By creating microscopic channels (artificial holes) in the skin a repair system is triggered. Fibroblast cells work to replace collagen fibers of the skin and begin to repair. The cell renewal is stimulated and the skin starts making more collagen and elastin.

Clinical studies have proven Microneedling treatments to be more effective than ablative treatments like laser resurfacing, dermabrasion, and chemical peels. It is just as effective as non-ablative treatments like IPL, CO2 laser and Fraxel in stimulating collagen and elastin production.

When we fall down and scrape our skin, the brain is signaled to send the collagen repair cells to the trauma site to heal the skin as it grows back together. The same cellular interaction occurs from the micro-injuries caused by CIT/Micro-needling and because the skin is not ablated, those collagen repair cells that are released work to rejuvenate the skin's appearance making it bouncier, more plump, and hydrated.

Benefits of Microneedling:

• Natural Collagen Induction Therapy against acute and/or chronic aging

• Enhance nucleic acids (DNA/RNA & their protein synthesis solution)

• Growth hormone stimulating peptides/amino acids

• Pigmentation stabilization (targets hyperpigmentation)

• Stretch mark appearance and Cellulite (fatty cell) diminishment

• Targets dark circles

• Improve redness and strengthen broken capillaries

• Reduce fine lines & wrinkles, tighten lax/sagging skin

• Improves skin texture and shrinks pores

• Scar diminishment (including burn, surgical, & acne scars)

• Alopecia, male/female pattern baldness, hair restoration

• Extremely high absorption of any type of active

• Collagen Induction through controlled mechanical

stimulation of the dermis

• It can be used on thin skin

• It can be used on face, neck and body

• Realignment of old collagen bundles

• Complete preservation of the epidermis during the procedure.

• No permanent damage to the skin, little to no pain during procedure

• No infection, extreme discoloration or other complications to treated area

• CIT/Micro-needling is the only skin rejuvenation treatment to target and regulate 3 key skin cells (Keratinocyte, Melanocyte and Fibroblast) without compromising the integrity of the epidermis

• Effective on peri and postmenopausal women

• Safe for individuals who have had laser resurfacing

• Less expensive and more effective than laser treatment

What do you infuse?

Ingredients such as high quality Mesenchymal Stem Cytokines & High-Molecular Weight Hyaluronic Acid are applied to the skin as glide during the treatment.

AnteAGE Microneedling  & Microchanneling Solutions contains pro-healing, anti-inflammatory growth factors and cytokines derived from laboratory culture of human bone marrow mesenchymal stem cells, the specialized cells that science has determined function as “command and control” of healing in all injured tissues. Hyaluronic acid provides lubrication and is a powerful humectant that promotes rapid re-hydration and volume enhancement within the upper layers of the skin. AnteAGE products contain no cells or cell remnants. They are removed during ultrafiltration, the final step in the laboratory culture process.

  • Contains pristine Bone Marrow Mesenchymal Stem Cell derived cytokines. A superior cell source for culture compared to fibroblast cells and adipose stem cells. Maintains a stronger anti-inflammatory portfolio of cytokines.
  • Formulated with a Hyaluronic Acid base, and no additional toxic ingredients seen in other microneedling solutions
  • Can be used post-procedure to initiate healing response
  • Paraben-free, FD&C dye-free, Sulfate-free

A mini post care kit provided with each Microneedling treatment that will accelerate healing and boost results even further for the following days! Every kit includes printed step by step directions on the back for convenience, mini gentle cleanser, and aftercare Stem Cell solution vial.

How does Anteage harvest Stem Cells for their products?

Anteage sources the stem cells from the bone marrow of young, healthy, pre-screened adult donors. The cells are cultured in a laboratory, within a controlled environment that fosters production of the biosignals that will engage in skin repair and rejuvenation. We they harvest and extract the powerful growth factors and cytokines inside, discarding the cell itself. The products are 100% free of inflammatory cells, cell fragments, RNA, or DNA.

Why do you use bone marrow stem cells instead of adipose stem cells or fibroblasts?

Stem cells are not all alike. The scientists that developed AnteAGE believe that bone marrow stem cells are the most effective source because they are what command and control tissue repair and healing throughout the body. Unlike bone marrow stem cells, adipose (lipid or fat) derived stem cells are not programmed towards wound repair, and are primarily used to generate more fat cells. They also contain more pro-inflammatory pattern of cytokines and growth factors, and inflammation is not something AnteAGE believes should be promoted in skin on a daily basis. Bone marrow stem cells do the opposite by countering and calming inflammation. Fibroblasts are connective tissue in the body that produces collagen, but are not stem cells. In cosmetics, they have typically been sourced from human foreskins. Although they aren't stem cells, fibroblasts produce some biosignals, but not as many as bone marrow stem cells, which can be 15 to 50 times more bountiful.

How often should I receive this treatment?

The frequency of treatments varies with the intensity of the individualized session that is fully customized to you. For optimal results, it is recommended to come in every 4 weeks. One treatment alone you will see benefits, but the Microneedling packages are highly recommended for optimal results, plus you get a free facial with it!

Microneedling can also be used on more than just the face! Other areas include (but not limited to) the neck, décolleté, top of hands, arms, legs, scalp, etc. Some clients will begin to see results as soon as right after their appointment, but it can take up to 6-8 months for all the incredible benefits to kick in!

What should I expect post treatment?

Microneedling downtime is very minimal, especially with the infusion of Stem Cells which you are sent home with.

Day 1: Skin will be erythematous and flushed after treatment, depending on the intensity of treatment. Minor pinpoint bleeding may occur.

Day 2: A red or pink hue persists like moderate sunburn.

Day 3: Skin can be slightly pink, but is usually back to normal color. The skin can feel dry and/or tight. Light peeling sometimes occurs in about three days (very temporary) and will be replaced with brand new skin due to increased cell turnover!
